STN Easy is one of the services provided by STN International, the Scientific & Technical Information Network. STN International is operated cooperatively by:

STN International offers three services:
STN on the Web for information professionals
STN Easy, described below, for occasional searchers
STN Express, PC version of STN on the Web

STN Easy is a web browser service offering easy access to key features and 57 databases on the STN website. It was designed for the infrequent searcher who needs occasional or simple scientific and technical information. STN Easy can be accessed from:

Availability and costs
Opening an account online (incl. 1 login identification): free of charge
Opening an account through STN Customer Service (incl. 1 login id): USD 50
Users are billed for references that they download via the system. STN Easy (standard display format) costs range from USD 1-20 (around USD 3 average). STN charges an annual fee as well.

Users are offered a free demo in STN Easy. Only a limited number of databases are available, including Compendex, Uspatfull, and CAPlus as the most relevant for heat pumps (1999).
